Tips to Overcome the Writer’s Block

Let’s face it, a writer’s block sucks. And trust me, as someone currently going through it right now, let me tell you: it’s horrible. Seriously, what can you even do with a block? OK, back up; I know, technically, I’m writing but I’m talking about my manuscript right now.  Something’s blocked in my brain stopping me from writing, editing and overall, just doing anything that requires me from doing anything related to the manuscript from a critical perspective. And this is something that all writers face frequently. There are days when words flow like a river, and others when the blank page stares back at you like an unyielding wall.…

On Writing the First Chapter of a Novel

Here’s the deal, the opening chapter of any story is, undoubtedly, the most important. It’s the first impression your work makes on the reader, and it needs to be compelling enough to make them want to keep reading. There needs to be something to leave readers wanting more. A strong opening chapter can make your book a page-turner, while a weak one can cause readers to abandon your book. Start a Blog in 2025: The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide

So, you want to start a blog in 2025. But how do you do it? After all, OpenAI did that thing again and now a lot of videographers I know are freaking out. I think we’re in a really interesting space right now, and digital media as we know it will change forever. That being said, I don’t think blogging’s going to end anytime soon. New Year’s Resolutions: 2025 Edition

I’m kickstarting the new year with a whole new set of new year’s resolutions. As older viewers of this blog would know, back in the days, I used to make resolutions and report back on them. But, as my career started to come along, and I got busier (and let’s be honest, this is low key always the excuse with me), that just stopped. But I never stopped making resolutions. It’s all on my notion planner.  I’ve always gotten into the habit of keeping both a digital and physical journal, and as repetitive as it probably is, for me, it’s been pretty helpful. As I take the next few days…

Mandatory New Year’s Blog Post (Which I TOTALLY Ignored Last Year)

Happy New Year, everyone! 🌟 Hope you all had a fantastic holiday! I certainly did! Especially, when I compare it with how 2024 started—with me feeling burnt out, anxious, and overwhelmed by a major delayed  product launch. This year, I’m very well-rested. In fact, I even took New Year’s Day off today (yes, I know it’s a public holiday for most, but I’m one of those people who usually finds it hard to stop working). If my parents hadn’t visited me last month, there’s a good chance I would’ve been working on Christmas Eve too. A big part of this is because of Hubstaff, the time-tracking tool we use at…
